The Cage: The Rules
A location pin will be dropped LIVE in September.
To enter, each team must have three players + one goalkeeper.
All players must sign a waiver and release form for YouTube publication upon entry.
Once you're in the cage it's locked. No subs. Not even for injury.
8 players. 8 minutes. No breaks. No half time. No way to regroup. No way out.
Nobody leaves until there's a winner.
All teams bank their winnings into a final prize pot as they work through the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final.
Players can also bank cash for Extra Tekkers.
ONLY ONE WINNER takes the WHOLE prize pot.
No players (attacking or defending) are allowed in the box. Any entry results in a penalty for the opposition.
No ball height limit.
Keepers can score by throwing the ball from their hands.
A "Last Man Standing" format where teams battle it out until one team has no players left who can successfully convert.
Red cards and yellow cards remain.

Entry to THE CAGE is subject to the following conditions:
Players must be 18 or over and fit to take part.
Teams consist of 3 outfield players and 1 goalkeeper.
An invitation, registration or arrival at the venue does not guarantee entry.
Where spaces are limited, places will be allocated according to the entry format announced for that event.
All players must complete the required participant waiver before taking part.
Players must follow THE CAGE rules and the instructions of referees, event staff and organisers.
THE CAGE is a physical, competitive football event and participation involves the normal risks associated with playing football.
THE CAGE is filmed and photographed.
Any private or confidential event information must not be shared before it is officially made public.
Event timings, format, rules, prizes and venue arrangements may change.
The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry or remove participants for safety reasons, misconduct or rule breaches.
THE CAGE is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
